Coach Freeman

Michael Freeman brings a lifelong passion for baseball and over a decade of coaching experience to the mound. Currently coaching at Northern High School in Maryland, Michael has built a reputation as a knowledgeable and committed pitching coach who focuses on developing players both mentally and physically.

Originally from Georgia, Michael was a standout pitcher during his four-year varsity career. His high school team reached the state Final Four in three of those four seasons. He earned All-Region First Team honors as a junior and was named Second Team All-State as a senior. While in high school, he also pitched two seasons of American Legion Baseball. Following graduation, Michael continued his career at Georgia College and State University, where he pitched for two years at the NCAA Division II level.

Michael began his coaching career as a pitching coach at Shaw High School in Georgia, where he spent two seasons helping young arms develop discipline, mechanics, and confidence. After relocating to Maryland in 2013, he wasted no time getting involved in the local baseball scene, eventually beginning his coaching journey at the middle school level in 2015.

In 2019, Michael began offering private pitching lessons, working with players of all skill levels to refine their technique, build arm strength, and improve game awareness. In 2022, he joined the coaching staff at Northern High School and, in 2023, expanded his reach into the travel baseball world.

With a strong foundation in competitive play and a decade-plus of coaching experience across multiple levels, Michael is dedicated to helping the next generation of pitchers reach their full potential.
